Creative Photo Digital Printing 

 

We all have stacks of old photographs from film that we have had developed over the years. It is fun to finger through those old photos and remember old times. Did you notice my repeated use of the word “old”? Probably not, because it is just a fact. Those are things of the past!

These days we print our pictures much less often, but when we do the process is simpler. When you want a photo, digital printing is the method used to create it. If you have a photo printer or even a good color printer at home you can do your own digital photo printing!

Because most of our photos taken with our digital cameras can be easily stored and viewed on our computers, most of us don’t print out pictures except on occasion. Still photo digital printing comes in very hand for those occasions.

There are many things that can be done with photos using digital printing that were much more difficult or impossible to do in the past. One of the best examples of this is in the arena of editing.

In old days a professional photographer took a picture and then developed it. It came out looking the way it did, blemishes and discoloration included. In those days editing a photo was a matter of actually coloring over blemishes by hand with a little paintbrush.

Today we can create the perfect image on our computers before we ever print it. Even without professional skills in photography digital printing can produce beautiful pictures every time.

There are a lot of different things that can be done with digital printing. You can choose the type of paper you want to print on. Some is thick, some is thin. They may have different types of finish. You can even print on something other than paper.

Canvas digital prints are becoming increasingly popular. Printing on this material or other cloth like materials can increase the life of your photos. They can also be stretched across a frame to create a beautiful and stylish wall hanging for your home.

Photo digital printing can also be done to create various cards and gifts. Your photo can be printed with a holiday border or you can have one printed on a mug, keychain or even a t-shirt for gift giving.

The options for digital printing are many. Of course you can print out photos like you used to with your 35 mm film, enlarge and edit them, but you can also create interesting works of art with editing software and have them printing on much more interesting materials than just photo paper. Whether you choose paper, canvas, clothing or souvenir items, your digital prints will be excellent for bringing back memories.
